BetterLife ("the App") is developed by Claudiu Cheles ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle your data.
BetterLife is designed to be privacy-first. All journal entries, voice recordings, transcriptions, photos, and AI analysis are processed and stored entirely on your device.
If you choose to sign in and enable cloud backup (a PRO feature), your data is:
Cloud backup is entirely optional. The app is fully functional without it.
BetterLife offers three sign-in methods:
Your display name and email address are used solely to authenticate your account for cloud backup. This information is handled entirely within Google Firebase — we do not store, transmit, or share it on any other server or with any third party.
The app may request permission to send local push notifications for daily journaling reminders. These are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external server.
BetterLife only requests permissions that are necessary for its core features. Below is a complete list for each platform.
We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or crash reporting services.
Use of BetterLife is subject to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
You are in full control of your data at all times.
Open the app and follow these steps:
This permanently deletes your Firebase account, all cloud backups (encrypted journal entries, photos, settings), and any data stored in Firestore under your account. Local data on your device is also cleared. This action cannot be undone.
Alternative — by email: Send a request to claudiu@betterclimber.app with the subject "BetterLife Account Deletion Request" and the email address used for Google Sign-In. We will process your request within 7 business days.
