Privacy Policy

BetterPawPlay ("the App") is developed by Claudiu Cheles ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Data We Collect

BetterPawPlay is designed to be privacy-first. All pet profiles, game scores, settings, and achievements are stored entirely on your device.

Pet profiles: Stored locally on your device only. Never sent to any server.
Game scores & stats: Stored locally. Never transmitted off your device.
Settings & preferences: Stored locally using on-device storage.

2. No Account or Sign-In

BetterPawPlay does not require or offer any account creation or sign-in. There is no cloud backup, no server communication, and no remote data storage.

3. Network Communication

BetterPawPlay keeps gameplay and pet data on-device. The app may contact Google AdMob servers to load a small banner ad, but pet profiles, scores, achievements, and settings are not transmitted for gameplay.

4. Permissions Overview

BetterPawPlay requests only the minimum permissions needed to function:

Vibration / Haptics (Android): Used to provide tactile feedback when pets tap the screen during games. Only triggered by in-game interactions.
Audio Playback: Used to play game sounds, reward effects, and ambient audio. No microphone access is requested.
Internet / Network Access: Used solely to load banner ads from Google AdMob. No gameplay data, pet profiles, scores, or settings are transmitted.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS only): On iOS 14.5+, the app asks for permission to use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) before displaying personalized ads. If you decline, the app continues to work normally — you will simply see non-personalized ads instead. You can change this at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy > Tracking.

BetterPawPlay does not request access to your camera, photo library, contacts, microphone, Bluetooth, or location services.

5. Third-Party Services & Advertising

BetterPawPlay uses Google AdMob to display a small banner ad. AdMob is provided by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

To serve and measure ads, Google AdMob may collect the following device-level information:

Device identifiers: Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) — used to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance. On iOS, this is only accessed if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Approximate location: Google may infer approximate (city-level) location from your IP address to serve geographically relevant ads. BetterPawPlay does not request GPS or precise location permission — no location data is read from your device's sensors.
Device & network info: Device model, OS version, screen size, language, and network type may be collected by the AdMob SDK for ad targeting and fraud prevention.

We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or any other tracking SDKs. We do not share pet profiles, scores, achievements, or settings with advertisers or any third party.

6. In-App Purchases

BetterPawPlay is free to play with a small banner ad displayed during gameplay. If you prefer an ad-free experience, you can purchase the "Remove Ads" upgrade — a one-time payment that permanently removes all advertising from the app.

The purchase is processed securely through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
No subscription — you pay once and ads are gone forever.
Your purchase is linked to your store account and can be restored on other devices.
No personal payment information is collected or stored by the app.

7. Terms of Use

Use of BetterPawPlay is subject to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

8. Data Deletion

You are in full control of your data at all times.

Delete All Data from the App

Open the app and follow these steps:

Settings → Reset All Data → Confirm

This permanently deletes all pet profiles, game scores, achievements, and settings from your device.

Alternatively, uninstalling the app removes all stored data since nothing is stored outside the app.

9. Children's Privacy

BetterPawPlay is designed for pets and their owners. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app collects no personal data from any user.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
